Today was our last day and we visited Soufriere, St. Lucia.
Also known as the “Helen of the West Indies,” St. Lucia has an impressive volcanic history and active sulfur fumaroles that guests visit after a short ride into the highlands by minivan to reach the highlands.
Our walk took us first to the Interpretation Center, close to the sulfur boiling pools. Afterward we visited Diamond Falls Botanical Garden to learn all about plants and their products. We were also surrounded with many varieties of wildlife—hummingbirds, butterflies, and even lizards.
After our visit, we reached a local isolated beach with an impressive cliff and there we had the choice to snorkel, swim, or head back to Sea Cloud.
