Today we went to two different areas on Isabela Island. During the first part of the morning, we explored Urbina Bay, which is an area that was uplifted in the early 1950’s. After a nice sunny morning looking for Galapagos land iguanas, we returned to the beach for a refreshing swim.
During the afternoon we went to Tagus Cove, which is at the bottom of Darwin Volcano. We kayaked, snorkeled, went on a hike around a crater, and had a great time enjoying the volcanic landscapes.
Everyone returned on board by sunset after a full day of exploration.
