Today is our last day of exploration in Costa Rica we visited the Casa Orquideas. This privately owned garden gave us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy tropical plants. Colorful orchids, heliconias, birds of paradise mixed in the shade of beautiful royal palms and mangos trees were seen, giving shelter to colorful birds such as yellow crowned euphonias, cherries tanager, great curassow and scarlet macaws.
After this lovely walk, and as the heat of the day was picking up, many of our guests decided to take a swim in the refreshing waters of the gulf. Later today we repositioned to Golfito. This location offered opportunities for Zodiac rides and kayaking. Wildlife creatures like howler monkeys, three toed sloth, roseate spoonbill and several other birds were spotted during the outings.
This enjoyable location gave us real encounters with wildlife. Tomorrow the fun continues in Panamanian waters. Hasta pronto amigos.
