Today our activities on the National Geographic Islander started before breakfast with a magical walk on Punta Cormorant where we were able to see different kinds of animals and vegetation and learn about their adaptations to survive in arid conditions. After a deserved breakfast, we had the opportunity to go by Zodiac to Champion Islet where we saw our third mocking bird on the list! The endemic mocking bird of Floreana! After this activity we went snorkeling and the sea lions were waiting for us to play and ready to share their space with us.
Afterward we visited Post Office Bay to leave our postcards and some guest helped to continue the tradition by taking other post cards that they can hand deliver back home.
For our final activity, we had the option of kayaking or taking a Zodiac ride around Floreana bay where we were able to see a lot of marine life. We saw marine turtles, eagle rays, and sea lions all in one spot! We had another amazing day on the National Geographic Islander. We cannot wait for tomorrow’s activities and to learn more about this magical archipelago.
