Our expedition in the Peruvian Upper Amazon started today with a skiff ride around Clavero Lake and in a small stream that provides water to this beautiful oxbow lake. We marveled at the beauty of the location and our many wildlife sightings. We spotted many bird species and a three-toed sloth.
Late in the afternoon, we visited Supay Caño. A rather overcast sky provided relief from the strong heat earlier in the day. We spotted a troop of squirrel monkeys and numerous bird species, including parrots and birds of prey. We gathered wonderful memories and experiences on the first full day of our expedition aboard our home away from home, Delfin II.
