National Geographic Orion sailed into the sheltered waters of Tromsø, Norway this morning. Despite its location 400km above the Arctic Circle we were treated to picture perfect weather. Since the 1800s Tromsø has been a gateway to the Arctic for explorers, whales and fur traders. Today Tromsø is our gateway to the Arctic as we embark North in search of walrus, polar bears and the midnight sun.
