This morning, we arrived in Tobermory and its trademark row of colorfully painted buildings greeted us as we docked. Some of us explored this charming place on our own, while others went to Tobermory Distillery. Other members of our group walked out to the Tobermory Lighthouse with local Geologist, Sheamus, who enthusiastically shared his knowledge on our lovely stroll.
We boarded Lord of the Glens once more and sailed toward the Isles of Eigg and Rum in search of wildlife. We saw gannets, shearwaters, and even a few common dolphins.
In the afternoon, we docked at Inverie, the most remote village in the United Kingdom, which can only be reached by boat or a sixteen-mile hike. While some guests went walking to explore the gorgeous scenery, others had a drink at the Old Forge, “the most remote pub on mainland Britain.”
Tomorrow, we will savor the last full day of our lovely journey!
