Today aboard National Geographic Quest, we embarked on an exhilarating journey through the breathtaking Peril Strait and Sergius Narrows in Southeast Alaska. As we sailed through these pristine waterways, our guests were treated to awe-inspiring sights and unforgettable experiences, including mountain goats gracefully navigating the rugged cliffs and the appearance of a sneaky minke whale during lunch. These encounters with Alaska's wildlife left our guests in awe of the natural wonders surrounding us.
Following our morning cruise, guests embarked on a truly remarkable adventure on land and water. They enjoyed a gorgeous hike, immersing themselves in the stunning beauty of the Alaskan wilderness. Surrounded by towering trees, fragrant wildflowers, and the tranquil sounds of nature, they relished in the serenity and grandeur of this untamed land. Later, our guests indulged in a serene kayak excursion, gliding over calm waters and taking in the breathtaking vistas.
As the day drew to a close, we gathered during our nightly cocktail hour to celebrate the accomplishments of our younger guests who participated in the Global Explorers Program. Against the backdrop of a stunning sunset, our guests enjoyed a delectable dinner, savoring gourmet cuisine and engaging in lively conversations about their experiences throughout the expedition. With hearts full of memories and excitement, we continued our journey towards our final destination: Sitka, Alaska.
Today's expedition was a testament to the incredible beauty and natural wonders of Southeast Alaska.
