Today was an incredible day in the Galápagos. In the morning, we landed on South Plaza Island before breakfast. This island was formed by an uplifting of the seabed millions of years ago. It is home to land iguanas (Conolophus Subcristatus), lava lizards, red-billed tropicbirds, swallow-tailed gulls, and Galápagos sea lions. The hike was spectacular, and perfect weather conditions made the walk even more enjoyable. At the end of the hike, playful sea lions delighted our guests, creating unforgettable memories.
In the afternoon, we landed on the beach of Santa Fe, where we observed numerous sea lions resting after a busy day fishing in the open waters. Walking inland, we encountered Santa Fe land iguanas (Conolophus Pallidus) warming themselves on the rocks in the last rays of the sun. These hikes were unique, starting early in the morning and ending just after sunset. We met two species of land iguanas on this memorable day that was full of wonderful experiences and encounters with nature in its purest form.
