Before sunrise, National Geographic Venture anchored adjacent to the east side of the Baja California Peninsula, in San Juanico Cove. In the morning there were Zodiac tours, and kayaking and snorkeling and hikes in the afternoon. By the time sunset arrived, the area’s topography, birds, desert vegetation, marine critters, and beautiful scenery made for a full and gratifying day of exploration.
