As National Geographic Quest was tucked away at Prince Rupert Island, we were protected from the winds due to yesterday’s weather front. The sun decided to show up mid-morning and Mother Nature seemed to be back on our side as we sailed along. Presentations were given by our undersea team of Patrick Webster and Sarah Grewe; we also played a gold rush game with naturalist Cherese. A plankton tow brought up some exciting things for us to view under the microscope and discuss.
Cruising Grenville Channel, we enjoyed beautiful views of British Colombia. Our afternoon program about wildflowers was presented by expedition leader Steve. The on-and-off rain kept most of us inside playing games, sharing photos and stories.
