We were up with the sunrise today and out exploring the very small and narrow creek of Pahuachiro. We are looking for wildlife and all eyes are keenly searching for birds, mammals, reptiles, and of course amphibians!
Our late morning activity is a walk in the Casual Forest on Tierra Firma, land that does not flood in the high-water season of January, February, and March. We encountered lots of frogs and very interesting insects, plus some new birds for us.
The afternoon capped off a very adventurous day with many monkey species on Yarapa Creek, including common squirrel monkeys, wooly monkeys, and coppery tiki monkeys. It was as if we were up to some serious monkey business!
