Today aboard National Geographic Sea Lion, we began our adventure in the breathtaking Misty Fjords. The morning was filled with exhilarating activities as we explored the fjords by Zodiac and kayak. The mist-laden scenery provided a serene backdrop as we navigated the calm waters, immersing ourselves in the raw beauty of this pristine wilderness.
In the afternoon, we cruised through the fjords, vigilant for wildlife. Our patience was rewarded with sightings of a couple of black bears ambling along the shoreline, their sleek forms a stark contrast against the dense greenery. The day’s excitement peaked with the appearance of Dall’s porpoises, their sleek, black-and-white bodies darting playfully through the water alongside our vessel.
The combination of morning exploration and afternoon wildlife spotting made for an unforgettable day. The Misty Fjords, with its dramatic landscapes and diverse fauna, showcased the splendor of the Alaskan wilderness, leaving us all in awe of nature’s wonders.
