The morning was delightful and cool as National Geographic Quest sat in the Hopkins Harbor. Guests began to disembark the vessel at 8:00 a.m. for daily adventures. Five options were offered, including birding, the Lower Bocawina hike, the Antelope Waterfalls hike, the loop, and the Tau Witz Mayan ruins walk. After an amazing time during our ventures, it was time for some much-needed refreshments.
Our journey then took us to Maya Center Village, where we had lunch with a local Mayan family and a short time for shopping. We headed to the Placencia Village, where some guests took the opportunity to enjoy world-famous tutti frutti gelato, while others decided to head back to the ship. We then returned to shore for a wonderful evening of Garifuna drumming, sealing a perfect day in Belize.
