This morning, we passed islands at the extreme southeast of the second largest island in the world, New Guinea. Now it is almost lunch time and under partly cloudy skies our destination is in sight. Kwato, is a small island community surrounded by other small islands and their communities.
A dance performance has been arranged for us and everyone in the area is super excited. Dance teams have traveled from the somewhat distant mainland as well as the famous Trobriand Islands. Closer to home, there are two teams from nearby islands and one from Kwato. Let the battle begin!
