The winds of the Sea of Cortez picked up quite a bit, so we spent the morning cruising and enjoying a presentation on humpback whales by Undersea Specialist Carlos Navarro. After lunch, we found a protected anchorage and set off to explore Isla San Francisco. Some guests explored the rocky intertidal zone, while others hiked up the rocky ridge line.
We were headed back to the ship for cocktail hour when we found a group of killer whales breaching and tail-slapping all around National Geographic Venture. It was a great end to the day!
