Today was a day for cruising, sipping hot tea, and searching for our first glimpses of gray whales. Accompanied by our expert guide, we maneuvered the narrow passages of hull canal and found many shorebirds and heron between the mangroves. We anchored a couple hours before sunset and explored the dunes and soft sand of Magdalena Island.
