What an amazingly beautiful day around Haines today, with sunshine, warm temps, and lots of adventure. We all went in different directions on a variety of excursions. A large group went to visit the Klukwan Cultural Center and then float down the Chilkat River on rafts, smaller groups went hiking up Mt. Riley and Battery Point, while others went fly-fishing.
In the afternoon, there were hikes, more fly-fishing, and bicycle tours. The town of Haines was also explored, with stops at the coffee shops, gift shops, the Hammer Museum, the local brewery, and local distillery. The day was capped by our delicious Alaskan Crab Fest, prepared by our wonderful galley team. It was another fun day in Southeast Alaska!
