Today we woke up at Genovesa Island. Peering out from our window, it was apparent just how much paradise was out there to be explored today. Birds were flying in and around from all over, and our activities started with pre-breakfast paddleboard along the island’s caldera.

After a delicious buffet breakfast, we continued on with the first hike of the day, the goal of which was to locate red-footed boobies to photograph. Check!

In addition, the male frigatebirds occupying this island were busy with courtship, vying for the attention of prospective mates. We were lucky also during the afternoon hike to spot a short-ear owl that was carefully blended within its rocky surroundings. No shortage of surprise to be witnessed here—if you can find it!
