We had a special treat today. We took a bus to Mulege to see one of the oldest buildings along the west coast of North America. The Mulege Mission was founded by Jesuits in 1703. The church has four-foot thick walls made from local volcanic andesite rock. Behind the church, there is a huge date palm plantation planted at the same time.
