After lunch we were out to kayak or take a Zodiac ride among the mangroves. This group had excellent looks at the reddish egret in their adventures exploring the meandering mangrove canals. We were all back on the ship in time for the final recap of our journey by the naturalists and expedition leader. Blue water and a golden sunset on the backdrop of Isla Magdalena left us with smiles and memories of warm days, whales, dolphins, cacti, birds, and dreams of future adventures.

Our last full day of this voyage on the Sea Lion began with the "devil fog" stopping us for about three hours. Our canal pilot navigated us through the narrow, shallow Hull Canal. We added several bird species to our tally and enjoyed the views of desert dunes and mangroves.
