After hiking, we continued traveling south towards the San Jos‚ channel, where we had an amazing encounter with a large group of sperm whales. We celebrated the day's experiences with a barbecue dinner at one of the beautiful bays in the Peninsula of Baja California.

The beginning of a wonderful day started with a hike through the forest of cardon and giant barrel cactus in Catalina island. Catalina is one of the five islands that make up the Loreto Marine Park in the southern part of the Gulf of California.
