Floreana
A peaceful combination of pastel colors make up the perfect picture, which stands as the ideal canvas of a happy day. We can feel it in the ship’s atmosphere; we could sense it on the island. Everyone has had a wonderful time today: from our Zodiac ride very early in the morning until late in the night as we traveled on an iridescent sea.
I saw a big man laughing like a child, full of energy and cheerfulness, while playing in the water with sea lions. No one wanted to leave the water; an octopus kept us intrigued, along with a group of bright king angelfish and sea turtles. We did not expected to see flamingos today as there were none last week, but we found five this afternoon. We did not expect a sunny day (in the midst of the garua season), and it was gorgeous, warm and clear. At our evening recap session one could hear many happy and excited comments. Everyone enjoyed Floreana, the Mystery Island which today was at it’s best.
