Española Island

Today we visited one of the islands with the largest variety of birds. Today’s highlight was definitely finding the waved albatross. We found not only adult albatrosses, but some juveniles that were getting ready to fly and be part of the yearly long migration to the west.

All of our guests were very happy to see them close to the “albatross airport” as some of them were attempting to land on it.

We also encountered some Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies and tropic birds; we can not forget the extraordinary landscape around us in this magical place.

For the afternoon we had the great opportunity of doing all kinds of water activities; we enjoy a lot the deep water snorkeling where we encountered different types of tropical fish, turtles and rays.

At the end we found ourselves at a beautiful beach where we enjoy the sunset, with the island of Española right on our backs…
