Hellemofjord

One of the reasons people travel is to see different landscapes and since so few of us have front yards that look like this, it's easy to understand the allure of coastal Norway. And to better appreciate it, we viewed it up-close and slowly with a kayaking excursion in the seldom-visited reaches of Hellemofjord. The smooth, steep rock walls provided a dramatic backdrop for our paddling efforts, and a full 50% of us hit the water for some private exploration. Pictured are three boats privately exploring together, thus illustrating one of the beauties of these craft – they allow individuals to create their own itinerary for a little while. Drift slowly admiring the landscape around you, or paddle hard for some exercise, the decision is yours.
