We woke up anchored with the mountains of Isla Santa Margarita in
the distance. We overdressed for this morning’s water activities thanks to a brisk
morning wind. National Geographic Sea Bird then transited Canal de
Soledad. We sailed through mud flats and mangroves, finding amazing bird and
mammal life along the way. We ended the day on the sand dunes, and all came
back aboard exhausted—in a great way!
