This morning, we were joined at our berth in Craignure by Seamus, the local Tobermory geologist. As we sailed from Craignure to Tobermory, Seamus described the geology of Mull and Ardnamurchan Peninsula in detail. Once in Tobermory, we had the opportunity to join Seamus on a geology walk out towards the Tobermory Lighthouse. Other activities were available in Tobermory as well, including a distillery tour or exploring the colorful town independently.
We sailed from Tobermory at lunchtime, heading out to the open sea, making our way around Ardnamurchan Point, the furthest point west of mainland Scotland. Our final destination for the day was Inverie on the remote Knoydart Peninsula. There we had the opportunity to visit the Old Forge Pub and hear more about the town from a longtime resident who came on board after dinner.
