Today, we woke up anchored in the northern part of Santa Cruz Island. After a delicious breakfast, we went ashore to see the beautiful Galapagos land iguanas. Dragon Hill happens to be one of their favorite spots to hang out because of the food availability and the type of terrain. Tuff cone terrain has an easy type of soil for the iguanas to dig holes in, perfect for laying their eggs and building burrows for protection.
During our hike, we saw many shorebirds and a stunning landscape. After the hike, we snorkeled and enjoyed a delicious Galapagos lunch, made with 100% local products! During the afternoon, we sailed to a different destination, Borrero Bay, a mangrove forest and a nursery for many marine species. Here, our guests kayaked, went paddleboarding, and enjoyed a Zodiac ride along the coast of Borrero.
We ended another magnificent day in the Galapagos with a spectacular sunset circumnavigating Daphne Major.
