Today we made it to Caletas Beach. The expertise of the Costa Rican Zodiac operators made for a calm transit to shore.
We organized different hikes in this beautiful private reserve, and nature rewarded us with incredible biodiversity. Guests who strolled along the coastline saw all sorts of birds and spider monkeys in front of the private reserve, demonstrating the overall health of the area. This primate needs large territories to roam. We spotted white-throated capuchins and many tropical birds in the vicinity.
Later in the afternoon, we cruised Agujitas River. We were mesmerized by the river’s beautiful emerald water. Common green iguanas basked along the rocky shorelines of this lively place. Some of the highlights of our fantastic river cruise included bare-throated tiger herons, yellow-crowned night herons, and little blue herons.
Another expedition is officially in the books as we cruise all the way to Puerto Caldera.
