Killer whales off the starboard side! Hence, our day began. With coffees in hand and bleary eyes, we watched a pod of B2s hunt penguins in coordinated fashion off the bow of the ship. Afterward, we transited through the beautiful Lemaire Channel with epic geology on all sides.
Zodiac tours provided guests with amazing sightings, including humpback whales, crabeater seals, leopard seals, gentoo penguins, Antarctic shags, brown skuas, kelp gulls, and Antarctic terns. Today marked some of our final moments alongside penguin colonies. Their amusing antics will be missed.
We ended the day with a concert from the musical group, The Spice Boyz, whose talent inspired a large number of guests and staff to dance into the night.
