Masterfully adrift on the Adriatic Sea, our crossing from Italy to Croatia enveloped up in the serene Mediterranean breeze from sunrise to sunset. In a morning as calm as the water around us, we listened to a presentation about the current state of marine biodiversity. We were then pleasantly surprised by the news that the conditions were optional to climb the rigging. Up aloft we went! To be contained on the yards of Sea Cloud II was incommensurable.
After a sumptuous lunch, which included a tasty Mediterranean cuisine, we were once again pleasantly surprised by the announcement that the conditions were ideal for swimming! And what a treat it was, to float on indigo waters, transparent like sea-glass. Afterwards, it was time to sharpen our eyes with Myriam and Massimo. Their expertise in photography and composition taught us much about the eye of the beholder and how to bring justice to the beauty it finds.
Dinner was yet another surprise. The kitchen outdid itself, presenting us with the bounty of the sea. After listening to Massimo's gripping tale of working for National Geographic, it was time to turn our backs on the bright full moon and say goodnight, lulled to sleep by the gentle rolling of these timeless waters.
