Pam Jennings

Having lived and worked in the northern parts of Australia for more than 30 years, Pam Jennings is lucky to have the wild beauty of the Kimberley as her backyard.

When Pam settled in Broome many years ago she started her guiding career by leading overland adventures to remote areas of the Kimberley. She started with two- or three-day tours to iconic destinations popular with visitors.  Not long after, the expeditions turned into 10- to 14-day treks traversing isolated areas only accessible by rough four-wheel-drive tracks.

In the years that followed Pam indulged her interests in birds, plants, animals of the Kimberley, and her ever-increasing interest of Aboriginal people and their culture.

Pam has a passion for the ocean and its inhabitants, so it was a natural progression that her land based skills would be transferred to the ocean where she worked on vessels ranging from small whale watching daytrips out of Broome, to extended expeditions along the Kimberley Coast where she served as a naturalist and expedition leader. She also spent a period of time working as a naturalist in far north Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef.

More recently her interests in Aboriginal culture and its people have evolved into her taking on roles of mentoring, training, and establishing Aboriginal tourism businesses, particularly in the Kimberley region of northern Western Australia.
