Kameron Dry
Kameron spent his early years in Salamanca, a small town in Western New York. Growing up just outside Allegany State Park, he was constantly immersed in the deciduous forests exploring the natural world. It was this early exploration that drove him to continue his education in the biological/environmental sciences. While completing his MSc in Marine Environmental Management, from the University of York, he had the opportunity to work on several exciting projects. These projects included coral surveys in the Maldives and studying invasive algae and its impact on the seagrass beds in the South Arran Marine Protected Area in Scotland. While participating in these projects, he also uncovered his passion for SCUBA.
After completing an MSc in 2017, Kameron moved to Thailand to complete his Dive Master certification and lead underwater tours around the Similan and Surin Islands. These days, Kameron is the Assistant Program Director at Catalina Island Marine Institute on Catalina Island in California, where he has been leading immersive outdoor educational experiences since 2019. In his free time, Kameron enjoys spending as much time as he can outdoors snorkeling/SCUBA diving and backpacking with family and friends.
