Art Cooley
Art has worked with Lindblad Expeditions since 1987 as a naturalist and an expedition leader, traveling on all seven continents. He is a founding trustee of the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and is presently Secretary of its Board of Trustees and has been elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Before retiring as a teacher and department chairman in 1989, he taught high school science including ornithology. As an Adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University, he taught marine biology and seminars in science teaching. Art's primary natural history interests are birds and marine mammals and he is interested in the role science and economics play in public policy issues. In February 1998 he was appointed Scientific Advisor to Lindblad Expeditions.
